Stockport and the SK postcodes
The bulk of the work and the shortest drive. Most of it is Victorian and Edwardian clay running to a shared back entry, or post-war estate drainage with a different set of faults again — pitch fibre, steep falls, and junctions nobody has a plan for. Which of those you have depends on the street rather than the town, which is why each one below has a page of its own rather than the same page with the name swapped.
South Manchester, Trafford and the Cheshire side
Over the borough boundary the housing changes and the drainage changes with it: converted villas where one run serves four flats, flat ground where a drain silts up rather than blocking outright, and buildings closer to town whose drainage is pumped up to the sewer instead of falling into it. A pumped system that has failed looks nothing like a blockage and jetting it achieves nothing — so it is worth reading the page for where you actually are.
